OUR STORY
2nd Generation Family-Owned Business
The journey began when the father transitioned from being a fisherman to a farmer. Settling in Cameron Highlands, he raised three sons and started cultivating various crops. Initially, he grew roses, zebra flowers, sunflowers, and white carrots.
As the second generation took over, they expanded the farm to include cherry tomatoes, eggplants, and experimented with using coconut shells to grow tomatoes, eggplants, capsicums, super mini cucumbers, jalapenos, along with a variety of hot peppers and super mini bell peppers.
Conscious of environmental impact, they adopted pesticide reduction methods to minimize harm to the environment and maximize land usage for crop production.
Eventually, the farm transitioned to Nutrient film technique (NFT) hydroponic technique. This method involves plant growth in re-circulated stream of water containing all the dissolved nutrients. The NFT system is built with two layer, specializing in lettuce, butterhead, romaine, and celery cultivation.
ABOUT FARM
Leased Land
Our farm initially operated on leased land, in collaboration with the government. Situated alongside the picturesque Blue Valley Road in Cameron Highlands, which leads to Simpang Pulai, the land was originally owned by the father. However, upon retirement, the son took up the mantle of tending to this small vegetable garden.
Acquiring New Land
As the farm expanded, we decided to increase our footprint. Consequently, we purchased a new parcel of land from a local businessman. With this acquisition, we secured our own title, making it an integral part of our farm.
Transitioning from Tradition to Hydroponics
Our farm underwent a transformation. Starting with traditional soil-based cultivation, we gradually shifted toward Nutrient Film Technique (NFT) hydroponic system. This journey was marked by continuous experimentation, learning, and adaptation. Over time, we honed our skills and successfully cultivated a diverse range of lettuce varieties. Based on few years of experience, we learned how to meticulously prepare and carefully formulate the dissolved nutrients.
LOW PESTICIDE CROPS, HYDROPONICS & FRESH PRODUCE
Low Pesticide Crops
At our farm, we take pride in cultivating crops with minimal pesticide use. Our commitment to sustainable practices ensures that the produce you receive is not only delicious but also safe for your health. We maintain a healthy balance between crop protection and environmental stewardship.
Hydroponics: A Modern Approach
Embracing innovation, we’ve transitioned from traditional soil-based cultivation to Nutrient Film Technique (NFT) hydroponic system. In our controlled environment, plants thrive without soil, drawing nutrients directly from nutrient-rich water solutions. This method conserves water, reduces land usage, and allows us to grow crops year-round. The result? Vibrant, nutrient-packed produce that’s as fresh as it gets.
Supplying Merchants with Freshness
Our commitment to freshness remains unwavering. As suppliers, we ensure that our lettuce reaches merchants promptly. From field to store, our greens retain their crispness and vitality. So when your customers pick up that head of lettuce, they’re getting the best—straight from our farm.
